Pretend that you are a client coming to your space for the first time. Is your office easy to find? If not, you may need clear signage to point the way. Because the unconscious mind says "no" to anything confusing or unclear, they’ll unconsciously say "no" to doing business with you. When they find you easily, they are more likely to return… and more likely to refer others to you as well.

Your employees are just as important as your customers. A break room in disarray and chaos, while the lobby is graceful and beautiful unconsciously tells your employees that they are not as important as, not as valuable as… Make sure that their break area is just as nice, just as comfortable and just as welcoming as what you give your customers. Your employees DO notice this and will appreciate the appreciation with loyalty.
 

Bring Nature In

Most office spaces are designed in various shades of grey, blue and white. Over time, these colors can feel sterile, cold and lifeless. So liven it up by bringing in nature – with so much life: fresh flowers, a zen sand tray, landscape artwork, or an aquarium will all help liven up the space. Your employees may not thank you right away, but their productivity will be thanks enough.

Pilers vs. Filers

Are you a piler or a filer? Pilers need to see their work laid out before them. Out of sight really is out of mind and to keep pilers focused, they need a display table or a buffet to keep everything at the ready. Filers on the other hand, can use colored hanging folders, custom files, or separate drawers to keep their projects in order. A healthy dose of self-awareness can do wonders for your peace of mind.
